Acquavilla transformed a former Comitti shipyard into a luxury villa on Lake Como. Luminous, versatile and modern. These are the project’s keywords, and the result is a design that fits in very well with its surroundings. The undisputed protagonists of the home are its minimal motorized lifts in the living room, which disappear into the foundation, letting you be one with the waves of the lake. Curtains made of technical fabric protect from the sun and offer unique lighting effects with maximum transparency. In the master bedroom there are minimalist sliding glass doors, so as to have an expansive view from the moment you wake up. The choice of pitched skylights in the rooms with vertical glass walls all the way to the ground ensure you’ll be able to see all the way from the lake’s shores to the sky, whilst your gaze passes through the surrounding mountains. Mulattieri Srl was also responsible for many other details in the home, making the project even more unique. The interior furnishing glass with interposed birch branches and seaweed, the glass railings on the terrace that seem to disappear, and the custom front door that perfectly matches the sectional garage door.
